The 2020 biennial conference theme encourages reflection on the current state of Black life in the United States. During this conference, we hope to examine the complex ways in which Black people had to struggle to overcome serious challenges to their citizenship during Du Bois’ time and the current uncertainty of maintaining the significant gains that were made by those determined to live as free and equal by any means necessary.
The national conference will include:
- Scholarly presentations by chapter members
- Keynote speaker
- Art expo celebrating African American heritage
- Workshops designed to provide information, strengthen and encourage individual members and chapters.
